What is Coaching?

Coaching is the art of facilitating the performance of an individual.

The process of coaching motivates individuals to take action to achieve their ideal life, just as a personal trainer would coach you to achieve your ideal level of fitness.

A coach works with an individual to bring about the changes required in their thoughts, attitudes and behaviours to achieve greater success in the various areas of their life.  A coach would do this by providing the space, time, structure and processes that the individual needs.

When you work with a coach you can expect the relationship to be safe and confidential, providing a good balance of support and challenge. This is done in a way that encourages learning, invites creativity and delivers higher performance. Coaching achieves results in ways that can be seen, experienced and measured.

The coaching process takes focus, intent, commitment and enthusiasm on both sides.

What is Performance Coaching?

A company is its people. When a company has people with the right skills, behaviours, positive attitudes and supporting beliefs, they will deliver maximum business results.

Performance coaching focuses on helping staff and managers improve their skills to achieve growing performance and increasing productivity. It is best done on a one-2-one basis, but team coaching can be just as effective, when the performance issue is less about an individuals skills.

How much does it cost?

It can be seen as costly, but as a proven method of delivering lasting results in shorter periods of time. The cost can be weighed against the benefits of improved business results as opposed to staying with what you have now.

What is Personal Coaching?

Personal coaching is totally driven by and focused on the individual’s requirements.

This means that each individual has their own unique goals for the coaching process and sessions. Most people initially seek coaching on one major issue. This may be weight control, exercise motivation, career issues, personal relations, or any of the limitless range of human needs, wants, hopes and concerns.

Do I need a coach to achieve success?

You could probably do it on your own; you may already have similar support in your life.   Many people find it much easier, more effortless and more powerful with support from someone trained and experienced.

It may help to ask yourself ‘How many times have I been inspired to make a change in my life, but end up losing my energy and inspiration long before the task is complete?’
